A lightbulb moment...
When I was doing some reflection in my room the other day, I had several realizations that I thought were worth sharing.. My hope is that some of you would also find them useful. Please read on:
I realized that whatever you have wished for or prayed for gets answered the moment you acknowledge the desire in you heart or utter them from your lips.
God has already heard them and below are just some of the ways the answers are presented:
1. When you immediately get what you ask for
- you will recognize it as an answered prayer.
2. If you do not get what you have prayed for
- Know that it is because what you asked for is not part of His plan for your life. Or that you asked for something that only you will benefit from. Or it may be because He has something better in store for you which is more pleasing to Him and which will bring you greater good, peace and contentment.
3. On the other hand, If you dont get what you want and still feel contented knowing that you've offered it up to God, and if you're OK even if you don't get a favorable answer, that too is already the answer to your prayer.
"Some years are searching for answers and some years are THE answers".
When things don't go your way:
In the loss of a loved one, when you have an unanswered prayer, or when you are in a broken relationship and are hurting... Know that you are in what I call the "Incubation Period":
Being in this stage means that God wants your undivided attention and does not want any interruptions or distractions because there is something valuable HE wants to impart to you. It can also be because HE needs you to learn the lesson from the experience to make you a stronger person.
When you are in this period of purification, all you can do is sit back, reflect, meditate, and pray. You cannot run away from God. This is how He molds you, teach you and get you close to Him because he is Our Father. I know He does these things because he loves us for all eternity!
