I had written this July 4th, 2006... I couldn't resist reposting this as a tribute to those ladies who have left us behind. You are greatly missed!
My friends… My sisters… My family…My whatchamacallits…
They see me as me. They comfort me when i’m down, laugh at my "corny" jokes, celebrate with me when i’ve a reason to, tease me whenever they get the chance, scold me when i need a good spanking and basically just to be around me when we need each other. Marking our 1st year at the PBB house, we went for a Walk-a-thon by accident and that was how the name of the team was formed.
They had their chance to put me in the hotseat. Now, the tables are turned… There’s no stopping me on what i have to say about these little rascals i call- "Terri’s ‘pak Team":
meryliza a.k.a. Brandy -> "the enlightened one" —> new name: "pas"
She is one gal endowed with wisdom and a photographic memory. can memorize a quote no matter how long it is and even if she only heard it once before. liz is a happy person, knows how to have fun, is open-minded and not picky with the food nor the places we pick out to visit so long as she is with friends she cares about. Loves shoes and bags so much. Crazy about Craig David. When she "lets her hair down", she can be very funny and wacky. A friend in every sense of the word. Loyalty is her byword. Watch out though… this girl doesn’t like to be teased (but loves to tease the whole gang). Unfair? True. We live with this reality… and you better do the same, lest you lose a friendship that is meant to last a lifetime. A word of advice: Don’t mess with her. Liz is a sincere individual… hasta sa pag binuang, sincere gihapon… basta Delta gani, buang2x gud na, guaranteed! hahaha, ayg palag brands akoa ning blog 
lovely a.k.a. Summer -> "the head-turner" —> new name: "lag"
Naa na ta diri’s exotic beauty… as in– insanely delicious! Miss Photogenic! One time, when it was Lovely’s turn to introduce herself, she said, "i’m lovely".. and the guy replied " i know you’re lovely, but what’s your name?"… Wow! heads turned, jaws dropped and people couldn’t help but chuckle among themselves… i should know, i was in that same room myself, hahaha… That was just the beginning of more kilig moments to come, sshhh can’t write it here (try asking me in private and i just might tell ya!). Lovely is the perfect match when it comes to liz’s teasing as this girl does not budge no matter how hard we tease and try to push her to admit as to how hot and desirable she is to the person who is captivated by her charm and beauty. Peace bai! May araw ka rin… haha. Kalma kau nga bayi, bisdak nga matuod… street-smart, good at organizing gigs and parties, generous and artistic. Feed her bacon morning, noon and night and this girl will never tire of it. What amazes me is her humility/modesty even if she knows how pretty she is… Delta gud, waffa jud parehas aning…
ronielyn a.k.a. Ronie -> " the high-heeled TL (Team Leader) " —> new name : "bok"
This young lady is vibrant, spirited, creative and electrifying… kiatan to the core. Ever heard of the saying, "Laughter is the best medicine"? Think ronie. Super dooper kalog when in the mood to joke around. And want to know a secret? She has super powers just like her look-alike Juday. Watch and see how men gravitate towards her everytime she dons her kristala necklace. I really am at a loss as to why men find this gal highly attractive during those moments that they just cant seem to get enough of her. Unlike liz who is blessed with a photographic memory, this girl is endowed with a 4-no-gra-fic memory… hahaha(say what??- did i hear that right?). Could it be because she is multi-talented? Ronie can play the drums, the guitar, she can sing and dance pretty well. She break-dances like a pro, hahahaha! Ronie is my idol… really! Because she knows how to behave appropriately in every situation. A truly sincere lady, she will offer help the best way she can. A loyal friend, she doesn’t play pretend as she will tell you straight away whether or not you’re being dumb or not. Lover of the color old rose. If i owned Jolibee, she would be my beloved mascot and image model for life! And talking about modelling, he comes…
trisha a.k.a. Trisha -> "the Observer" —> new name: "bala"
Fashion runs thru her veins. She can pull up an ensemble that matches her mood and she definitely has an eye for elegant style. Creative in fashion designing. Clothes are her weakness. She makes her own bags. And she sews like a pro too! Meticulous and very observant in everything that catches her eyes. Keen on details. Lover of adventure. Lover of good food! Loves to nibble and snack… She is easy to please, but mind you, she is one faithful lady to her beloved. Fortunate is the man who will walk her down the aisle as she is good at keeping house and at ironing out financial matters. Trish is straight-forward. She speaks her mind and is not afraid to point out whatever needs to be corrected. That’s what i call honesty… blessed she is indeed for not being scared to speak up for the truth. Which leads me to my next subject of blessedness…
jonana a.k.a. Jamie -> "One blessed child" new name —> "bat"
Pure-hearted… that is Jonana. Why else would i tag her as "one blessed child" ? My baby jamie. She symbolizes what an ideal daughter should be. Kind, unselfish, forgiving, unpretentious, unadulterated, uncomplicated. Jamie brings a smile to our hearts… My savior when i fall short of "dough" in my pocket. And she is a very amiable girl. Let me balance it out… I’m not talking about "dullness" here… she may be nice but not at all the goody-goody type as this girl also knows how to have a good time. Karaoke queen as i know her to be and while at it, she can certainly gulp down a substantial amount of beer during her stint. How so much beer can fit into that tiny frame, that to me is simply mysterious… And who among us is known for being mysterious? There’s only one:
april a.k.a Paige -> "the Mysterious one" new name —> "pagi"
It will take you gazillion years to even get close as to find out what really goes on in her mind. Mysterious? Absolutely! The eyes says it all… just one look, a stare or even a glance from her will give you shivers down your spine. You won’t know what hit you! Hahahahaha… She epitomizes what a tough lady should be. To me, she will always be the real Tough Cookie. This girl loves classic films and ’80s & ’90s music by female artists. You can never ask this girl to carry an umbrella around, hmm.. the expression, "at a drop of a hat" is more like her as this gal is firm and decisive in her conviction. She loves caps and hats so much too. A pc genius, she designs websites and is really good at it. The quiet beauty among the team, she can be a big tease when let loose. And yet, she shows respect for each and every one of our individual beliefs.
This is just some of the insights as to why we as the ‘pak team click at what we do and why our friendship is extraordinary. Our personalities mesh and blend flawlessly. I love them all, and i pray for more years of laughter and togetherness. Cheers, guys.. lotsa love!
